They are seeking an ECMO Specialist to monitor pump functioning and administer medications during patient therapy, ensuring compliance with physician's orders and maintaining documentation related to ECMO processes.

Responsibilities
Monitor pump functioning throughout patient therapy and maintains pump integrity
Monitor circuit volume and administers products, medications and/or volumes as ordered
Monitor anticoagulation, electrolyte, acid-base balance and blood-gas composition values and adjust ECMO circuit to maintain physician's orders
Generate and compile appropriate documentation and charges related to ECMO. Precept new ECMO team members
Qualification
Required
One or more of the following: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Department of State Health Services obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Respiratory Care Practitioners Certification Program obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required
