Enterprise Messaging Engineer

PEAK Technical Staffing USA is seeking an experienced Senior Microsoft O365 / Enterprise Messaging Engineer to support and manage enterprise-level Mail and Mobile Device Management services in a complex, mission-critical environment. This role requires deep technical expertise in Microsoft O365, Exchange, Intune, Azure, and security & compliance, along with strong operational and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with Federal and Contractor Service Desk, Incident Management, Desktop Engineering, Executive Help Engineering, Application Hosting, and Infrastructure Engineering teams to ensure reliable Mail and MDM services
Manage incidents and service requests based on urgency, impact, priority, and SLAs, including assessment, assignment, monitoring, resolution, and closure
Coordinate change and release management for Mail and MDM services, including design, architecture, configuration, testing, risk/impact analysis, approvals, implementation, and monitoring
Ensure timely fulfillment of Mail and MDM service requests, including role-based access, permissions, distribution groups, specialized communications, and availability
Follow established incident, problem, configuration, event, and change management processes to restore services affected by outages or defects
Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implement resolutions in collaboration with infrastructure teams and third-party vendors
Assess and remediate security vulnerabilities and incidents, including patching, upgrades, and email-blocking strategies to reduce risk
Monitor and report on performance, access, licensing, and capacity, providing recommendations for improvement
Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
Manage and report on daily operations, including deliverables, stakeholder communications, risk management, and status reporting
Create, maintain, and update architecture documents, SOPs, work instructions, licenses, support agreements, and knowledge base articles

Required

Proven experience in the design, configuration, integration, testing, release, maintenance, and support of Microsoft O365 Cloud
Proven experience in the design, configuration, integration, testing, release, maintenance, and support of Exchange
Proven experience in the design, configuration, integration, testing, release, maintenance, and support of Intune with Apple Business Manager
Proven experience in the design, configuration, integration, testing, release, maintenance, and support of Azure
Proven experience in the design, configuration, integration, testing, release, maintenance, and support of Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook
Proven experience in the design, configuration, integration, testing, release, maintenance, and support of OneDrive for Business
Proven experience in the design, configuration, integration, testing, release, maintenance, and support of Microsoft Security & Compliance
Minimum 8 years of experience supporting Enterprise Messaging Services
Microsoft O365 certification or equivalent (required)
