Shipping Associate ( Temp to Perm )

PlanITROI is a company that has been providing global reverse logistics and IT Asset Disposition services since 2001. They are seeking an experienced Shipping Associate to join their warehouse and fulfillment team, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of outgoing shipments.

Information Technology

Responsibilities

Execute daily shipping operations, ensuring all outgoing orders are processed accurately and meet carrier deadlines (FedEx, UPS, USPS)
Pull, pack, label, and prepare products according to order specifications and company standards
Assemble cartons, packages, and boxes, ensuring proper packaging to prevent damage in transit
Verify product quantities, types, and serial numbers against picking lists or orders
Conduct final quality checks on outbound shipments
Generate and affix shipping labels, packing slips, bills of lading, and other required documentation for domestic and international shipments
Maintain accurate shipping records, track outgoing orders, and provide status updates as needed
Identify, document, and report shipment discrepancies, damages, or issues
Update inventory databases and maintain Excel spreadsheets to track low-stock items
Organize and maintain the shipping area, restocking supplies, and ensuring a clean, efficient workspace
Conduct regular inventory checks of shipping materials (boxes, tape, labels, etc.) and communicate needs to management
Adhere to OSHA standards, company policies, and safety regulations
Perform additional duties assigned to support overall warehouse operations

Required

High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum 3 years of shipping experience, preferably in an eCommerce fulfillment environment
Must have experience in shipping operations, processing outgoing orders accurately, and meeting carrier deadlines (FedEx, UPS, USPS)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for the entire 8-hour shift
Ability to lift 35 lbs. as required
Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures
