Responsibilities

Direct supervisor for Associate Vice President of Clinical Operations including monitoring and directing all activities and work assignments in collaboration with Regional Leadership
Provides strategic oversight and management: to ensure the region meets all applicable regulatory requirements and enforces the company’s systems, processes, policies and standards of the region’s quality assessment and performance improvement program in accordance with the organization’s strategic plan/goals to fulfill region’s objectives in a proactive manner through identification, development and monitoring of clinical quality and process improvement strategies
Establishes the goals, objectives, standards, and policies/procedures to achieve high-quality care and improved patient outcomes in accordance with the organization’s strategic plan/goals
Coordinates with corporate, and regional leadership on clinical quality and process improvement strategies to create a culture of clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and profitable growth
Contributes to the definition of performance metrics, budget development, and management of key performance indicators
Assists with development and implementation of programs that promote clinical quality and survey readiness
Creates a positive service excellence culture within region by setting expectations and accountability through effective clinical leadership
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

Required

Registered Nurse with preferably a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent degree in clinical discipline or related field; Masters preferred
Minimum 6-8 years healthcare managerial experience
Experience participating in state surveys
Experience with Accreditation process (i.e., JCAHO, ACHC, CHAPS)
Valid driver's license and automobile liability insurance coverage
Unencumbered and active RN license in state of residence required if RN
Working knowledge of hospice regulatory requirements, state and federal regulations, budget development, and human resources
Ability to work with confidential information
Possesses effective follow-up and strategic thinking skills
Well organized, self-starter with a high degree of initiative, and ability to work independently as well as team build
Ability to communicate clearly with remote field, mid-level, and executive staff; communicates regularly with supervisor about Department issues
Exercises professional judgement and demonstrates good problem-resolution skills
Extremely comfortable working with multiple online and computer applications
Must be a collaborator who possesses effective people skills and maintains a positive and respectful attitude
Understand documentation required to support medical necessity of hospice care
Flexible and responsive to changing business needs
Completes required annual training
Must have good and regular attendance
Extensive travel and frequent overnight travel
Intermediate Excel skills
Basic PowerPoint skills
Experience reviewing data in electronic systems

Preferred

Experience with HomeCare-HomeBase preferred
