Business Development Lead
The Junkluggers of Savannah is a locally owned, fast-growing junk removal and reuse business focused exclusively on commercial clients. This role is primarily responsible for developing relationships with warehousing, logistics, and distribution operators, while also engaging with multifamily and apartment communities for expansion. The position requires a professional with experience in logistics and a strong focus on relationship-driven business development.
Responsibilities
Conduct outbound business development primarily to warehousing and logistics operators (3PLs, distribution centers, storage facilities)
Initiate outreach by phone and email to set introductory meetings
Conduct scheduled in-person meetings and site evaluations
Identify needs such as abandoned or unclaimed goods, excess inventory, storage overflow, and facility cleanouts
Perform secondary outreach to apartment and multifamily communities for coverage and expansion
Build long-term commercial relationships through professional, non-aggressive follow-up
Capture contacts, activity, and notes consistently in HubSpot
Prepare, present, and deliver pricing proposals
Close commercial jobs and secure approvals
Own follow-up and account communication once relationships are established
Qualification
Required
1+ years of experience in logistics, 3PL, warehousing, or a related B2B environment
Comfort with phone-based appointment setting and scheduled site meetings
Experience working with operations managers or commercial decision-makers
Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
Comfort working independently in a flexible, performance-driven role
Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred)
Benefits
5% commission on invoiced revenue from originated and managed accounts
7% commission on any single invoice exceeding $7,500
