Responsibilities
Own the month-end and year-end close process
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Prepare and record journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of all accounts
Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
Build and maintain reporting packages for leadership
Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Analyze variances and provide insights on financial performance
Prepare ad hoc financial analysis as needed
Own NetSuite as the primary accounting system administrator
Improve and document accounting processes and controls
Identify opportunities to automate manual accounting workflows
Ensure compliance with GAAP and prepare for future audits
Support external accountants and auditors as needed
Partner with payment operations on revenue recognition and cash reconciliation
Support payroll processing and related accounting entries
Assist with tax filings and compliance requirements
Work closely with CFO on strategic finance initiatives
Qualification
Required
4-6 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a hands-on role (not just big 4 audit)
Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting
Experience in healthcare, healthcare services, or healthcare technology companies
Experience at a factoring company, asset-based lender, or fintech with advances, reserves, and revenue-sharing models
Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software
Advanced Excel skills
Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation
Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Preferred
CPA or CPA track
Experience at a high-growth startup or tech company
Experience building accounting processes from scratch
SQL skills for data analysis and reporting
Experience preparing for or supporting financial audits
