Intern/Aide - Center for Medical Ethics & Health Policy

Baylor College of Medicine is seeking candidates for the Clinical Ethics Summer Internship Program at the Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in clinical ethics, shadowing consultants, participating in research, and attending key meetings.

Responsibilities

Participates in key meetings with hospital partners including ethics committee meetings, case conferences, grand rounds, and other relevant meetings
Involvement in bi-weekly group reading discussions with Center faculty members
Supports Center research projects including literature search and data analysis
Potential teaching and writing opportunities commensurate with the intern’s experience and expertise

Qualification

Required

Must be enrolled in high school or be a high school graduate (or equivalent secondary education) or enrolled in an institution of higher education

Preferred

Current undergraduate sophomore or higher, or graduate (Masters or Doctorate) students in a related field
Demonstrated interest specifically in a career in bioethics or clinical ethics. Please note: this internship is not for general medical experience
