Portfolio Analyst, SMA

Vident Asset Management is a specialized exposure and solutions provider focused on helping clients assess new investment opportunities. The Portfolio Analyst will support the management of the Separately Managed Account (SMA) business, assisting Portfolio Managers and conducting product research, portfolio optimizations, and client reporting.

Responsibilities

Support the management of client portfolios including account set up, daily reconciliation, model creation and maintenance, portfolio optimization, tax loss harvesting, and portfolio trading
Enhance and support the product trade workflow and portfolio monitoring functions
Monitor index changes and curate buy lists for corporate actions
Support client requests ranging from proposal generation to client reporting
Perform regular reporting for internal and client use
Perform quarterly billing and AUM reporting
Proactively communicate with clients regarding bond maturities, cash flows, quarterly performance reporting of equity portfolios and other reporting as required
Work with custodians to help with client inquiries and internal reporting as necessary
Assist sales and marketing through development of advisor/client materials and development of new materials
Participate in presentations, conference calls, conferences
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required

You possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Computer Science or similar

Able to prioritize and optimize own workload as a function of unexpected events and existing parallel/serial workflows

Ability to think independently and creatively approach data analysis and communicate complex ideas clearly
Team player with strong quantitative, analytical, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred

You have 2+ years of experience in the investment management field (preferred)
Interest in pursuing investment related designations and/or FINRA exams such as the CFA, FRM, or the FINRA Series 65 exam
Experience with Bloomberg Port and/or Orion preferred
Working knowledge of equity markets, portfolio construction, tax optimization and portfolio risk analytics
Experience with portfolio optimizers and factor risk models
