Mid LevelGeneral Medicine is seeking a hands-on Product Designer to shape and design modern healthcare experiences. The role involves defining customer interactions, designing core product experiences across web and mobile, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and feasibility.

Design core product experiences across web and mobile, from early concepts through shipped UI
Own flows that span discovery, decision-making, and follow-through, not just single screens
Create interfaces that feel clear, calm, and intentional, even when the underlying system is complex
Sweat the details of layout, hierarchy, copy, and interaction states
Contribute to and evolve our design patterns so they support speed, consistency, and scalability
Balance reuse with thoughtful exceptions when the experience demands it
Partner with Product and Engineering to define problems, explore multiple solutions, and converge on the right approach
Use sketches, flows, and prototypes to think and communicate
Iterate quickly based on feedback, data, and real-world usage
Balance strong point of view with openness to evidence and change
Work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Clinical teams to ensure experiences are aligned, feasible, and on-brand
Clearly articulate design decisions and tradeoffs
Qualification
Required
Hands-on Product Designer experience
Ability to shape and design thoughtful, modern healthcare experiences end to end
Experience designing core product experiences across web and mobile, from early concepts through shipped UI
Ownership of flows that span discovery, decision-making, and follow-through
Ability to create interfaces that feel clear, calm, and intentional
Attention to detail in layout, hierarchy, copy, and interaction states
Contribution to and evolution of design patterns for speed, consistency, and scalability
Ability to balance reuse with thoughtful exceptions in design
Experience partnering with Product and Engineering to define problems and explore solutions
Ability to use sketches, flows, and prototypes for communication
Experience iterating quickly based on feedback, data, and real-world usage
Ability to balance strong point of view with openness to evidence and change
Experience working closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Clinical
Ability to clearly articulate design decisions and tradeoffs
Experience-driven thinking with a focus on user experience over time
Comfortable working within and improving systems, including design systems and multi-step flows
High bar for visual and interaction quality
Ability to notice and fix design issues
Ability to thrive in a fast-moving startup environment
Experience shipping, learning, and refining without waiting for perfect inputs
Clear communication skills in sharing work, giving feedback, and building alignment
