Talent Development Consultant (WA State Only)

Responsibilities

Co-Create Growth Experiences: Partner with stakeholders across BECU to design, refine, and deliver professional and leadership development solutions that support the growth and potential of our people
Design Tools That Enable Success: Create learning artifacts, frameworks, and resources that bring Talent Development strategies to life in practical, engaging ways
Lead Engaging Learning Experiences: Facilitate organization-wide training—virtually, onsite, and in hybrid settings—while adapting content to meet the needs of diverse audiences
Bring Programs to Life: Execute Talent Development programs and initiatives that build internal capability and strengthen organizational knowledge
Collaborate for Impact: Work closely with internal partners and external vendors to identify, develop, and schedule meaningful learning opportunities
Manage Projects with Purpose: Build and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure programs are delivered on time and with high quality
Use Insights to Drive Improvement: Partner with leaders to leverage dashboards and analytics, identifying learning gaps and opportunities across the organization
Accelerate Learning Through Innovation: Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to quickly create high-quality learning artifacts, resources, and facilitator guides that enhance engagement, consistency, and impact across learning experiences
Innovate and Stay Curious: Take an agile, forward-thinking approach—continually improving learning solutions by exploring new tools, technologies, and methodologies
Be a Trusted Expert: Serve as a subject matter expert in leadership and professional development practices, methodologies, and integration techniques
Keep Knowledge Current: Ensure procedures, processes, training materials, and facilitator guides are documented, accurate, and up to date
Pitch In When Needed: Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing wherever your skills can add value

Required

B.A. or B.S. degree in business, training and development, organizational leadership or equivalent work or educational experience
Requires a minimum of 5 years of combined work experience in Learning & Development, Corporate Facilitation, Coaching, Human Resources, and Talent Development
Requires 2 years of combined experience in adult learning design and facilitation, including eLearning and soft-skills leader development

Preferred

Certification in Instructional Design
Thorough knowledge of talent development methodologies and adult learning techniques. Ability to connect development practices to business practices
Demonstrated ability to manage small to medium-scale projects, including creating project plans and communication plans. Ability to sequence action steps and communication for effective and efficient execution
Demonstrated ability to manage small to medium-scale programs / program components aligned with large-scale programs and strategies. Ability to present ideas at both the 'big picture' and detail level
Thorough knowledge of facilitation best practices, techniques, and tools for onsite, virtual, and hybrid facilitation. Ability to facilitate complex dialogue amongst diverse audiences. Leverages multiple techniques to engage an audience, focused on social and experiential learning
Thorough knowledge of instructional design best practices, standards, and methodologies. Apply instructional design practices, up to and including designing workshops and learning experiences from scratch, that drive ability and reinforcement
Awareness of DEI best practices, language, and methodologies as they relate to Talent Development, ensuring that learning experiences are designed and delivered with an inclusive lens that promotes belonging for all employees
