Financial Aid Counselor

They are seeking a Financial Aid Counselor to assist students and families with the financial aid process, ensuring compliance with regulations and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
Assist students and families with the financial aid process, including providing guidance on applications, explaining eligibility requirements, and analyzing financial documents
Determine financial aid awards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and maintaining accurate records
Engage in outreach to educate and inform students about available financial aid resources and provide excellent customer service to support student success
Qualification
Required
Strong knowledge of financial aid processes, regulations, and policies
Analytical skills to review and assess financial documents
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide guidance and support to students and families
Proficiency in administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate records and using financial aid management systems
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse individuals and departments
Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Finance, Education, or a Social Science
Preferred
Experience in counseling or advising roles, particularly in financial aid or higher education
Working knowledge of federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs
