InternCTC EdTech LLC is seeking a highly motivated Automation & Business Systems Developer Intern who can design, build, and maintain full business applications using Excel, Google Sheets, Google Apps Script, and AI integrations. This volunteer, unpaid internship focuses on hands-on learning, system building, and real startup experience.

Responsibilities
Build complete applications using Google Sheets and Excel
Design backend logic, validations, workflows, and permissions
Structure data models for business operations (CRM, operations, reporting)
Convert spreadsheets into scalable operational tools
Maintain performance, structure, and usability of sheet-based systems
Develop backend logic using Google Apps Script
Use JavaScript for automation, validations, and integrations
Build triggers, workflows, and event-based logic
Connect external APIs to Sheets and internal systems
Integrate AI tools and AI APIs (OpenAI or similar) into business workflows
Build AI-assisted automations for data processing, reporting, and decision support
Use AI for summarization, analysis, classification, and content generation
Design AI-driven business logic responsibly and securely
Automate workflows across Google Workspace (Forms, Gmail, Drive, Calendar)
Build basic automations in n8n
Support AI-based and rule-based automation workflows
Reduce manual work through structured automation systems
Create technical and non-technical documentation
Document system logic, workflows, and usage instructions
Assist with SOPs and internal operational documentation
Ensure clarity, maintainability, and handoff readiness
Qualification
Required
Undergraduate or master's student (or equivalent practical experience)
Strong experience with Excel and Google Sheets
Experience with Google Apps Script and JavaScript (or strong learning ability)
Experience or exposure to AI tools and AI APIs
Familiarity with Google Workspace automation
Basic experience with n8n or similar automation tools is a plus
Authorized to participate under CPT or Initial OPT (minimum 8 months remaining)
Based in or closely connected to the San Francisco Bay Area
Available for 20+ hours per week
