Research Assistant III (NEMO)
The University of Rhode Island is the State’s flagship public research university, and they are seeking a Research Assistant III for the NEMO project. The role involves conducting independent research, supporting grant activities, and collaborating with the research team on water quality-related projects.

Responsibilities
Conduct literature reviews and prepare summaries of findings in different formats
Assist with outreach/engagement products and training
Perform website updates and development
Coordinate and organize research meetings and outreach events; perform other scheduling as needed
Support water and wastewater sample collection as needed
Meet regularly with the research team
Provide regular progress updates
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
Minimum of three years of research experience
Familiarity with a minimum of two of the following: water quality issues, emerging contaminants, public health, or community engagement
Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency in written communication skills
Strategic thinking, logistical, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently
Experience reviewing and summarizing scientific literature
Experience with data management (Excel/Google Sheets)
Experience with drinking water contaminants
Ability to work with diverse groups/populations
