BILT, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with varying disabilities. They are seeking a Skills Trainer to provide guidance and support to individuals in enhancing their daily living skills and achieving greater independence.

Responsibilities

Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as personal care, hygiene, household maintenance, food shopping, meal preparation, budgeting, and social skills development
Providing ongoing support, role modeling, and guidance in improving personal responsibility, community living skills, and socialization
Facilitating leisure activities and encouraging engagement in social and recreational activities
Transporting individuals to appointments, work, and recreational outings
Documenting daily notes on program participants' progress and any changes
Attending review meetings, trainings, and other related appointments as required
Other duties as required

Required

Car and valid driver's license
Clean driving record
Ability to pass a CORI check
Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to helping others
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time
Must be able to be on feet and on-the-go for hours at a time, including accompanying clients for walks and other activities
Must be comfortable driving clients to and from places, as needed
