Responsibilities
Optimize and manage the company furniture symbol library, including AutoCAD 2D/3D, SketchUp, and Revit files
Create, revise, and maintain furniture CAD symbols to support internal design tools and external visualization needs
Develop mesh-model AutoCAD symbols for design tools using AutoCAD or Rhino
Coordinate with Engineering to convert SolidWorks files into usable CAD formats suitable for renderings, layouts, and early-stage design studies
Review, test, and validate furniture symbols for accuracy, scale, performance, and adherence to internal standards
Maintain version control, file organization, and documentation for all CAD assets
Identify gaps or inefficiencies in current symbol workflows and recommend improvements
Work independently to manage priorities and deadlines in a fully remote environment
Support ongoing improvements to CAD standards, workflows, and best practices
Participate in cross-functional collaboration related to new product launches
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in CAD or related field
5+ years of professional CAD experience, including symbol or library management
Knowledge of SketchUp and Revit
Experience creating mesh-based models using AutoCAD and/or Rhino
Ability to interpret and translate SolidWorks files into usable CAD assets
Strong attention to detail, self-direction, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively and productively remotely - proven past history of remote work is helpful and preferred
Preferred
Prior experience working in the commercial furniture industry, including familiarity with product-driven CAD workflows and specification support
Advanced Revit modeling, including family creation and parameter management or be willing to learn
Experience supporting assets used for renderings, space planning, or preliminary layouts
Technical Illustration through use of Rhino or SolidWorks add-ons or willing to discover and learn
