Responsibilities
Be responsible for a varied caseload of pre-litigated or litigated work
Screen matters for prospects and liaise with clients upon receipt of instructions
Review instructions and provide client advice on case prospects
Resolve claims through negotiation and litigation within client service standards
Instruct experts and counsel, draft Witness Statements and other Court documents
Maintain contact with our clients and their customers whilst proactively managing their expectations
Meet individual performance measures (financial performance, realisation rates and other KPIs)
Ensure that the DAC Beachcroft brand and standards are maintained
Qualification
Required
Graduates and individuals with customer service or retail experience who are team-oriented and eager to learn
Paralegals or Legal Assistants with experience in a legal setting
Prioritisation and Organisation Skills - the ability to structure your time well, prioritise work effectively and recognise when to ask for help
Interpersonal skills - communication skills to liaise with clients, intermediaries and colleagues on the phone and in person
Analytical skills - The ability to critically look at factual evidence, identify key legal arguments and apply the same
Commercial sense - The ability to know the principle or law but also know when is it worth pursuing it
Resilience - The ability to stand their ground in a telephone negotiation and to receive feedback
Commitment and enthusiasm - with a professional attitude
Alignment with the Firm's Cultural Principles (Clear, Creative, Determined and Supportive)
Preferred
Previous exposure to Litigation and/or insurance claims would be highly beneficial
