Responsibilities
Preparing individual, corporate, partnership, and/or fiduciary tax returns based on experience
Reviewing financial information, supporting documentation, and prior-year returns to ensure accuracy and compliance
Assisting with tax planning calculations, adjustments, and year-end tasks as needed
Researching tax issues and applying current tax laws to client situations
Communicating with clients to gather necessary information and resolve questions or discrepancies
Ensuring deadlines are met by managing multiple return workloads efficiently
Assisting with electronic filing, document tracking, and maintaining organized workpapers
Supporting other tax team members and contributing to a smooth and efficient tax season workflow
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA-eligible preferred but not required
Previous experience preparing tax returns in a public accounting or high-volume tax environment
Working knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
Strong communication and client-service skills
Ability to work extended hours during peak tax season, as needed
