Responsibilities

Public safety opportunities to include employment in Courts, Jail, Investigations, Community Outreach, Human Resources and Civil Process

Policy reviews provided weekly during internship to highlight our office mission and focus on safety with each unit assignment

Perform other work as required

Required

Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student

Minimum grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.8

Ability to participate in the full 10-week program

Exhibit a commitment to public service

Genuine interest in learning about public administration

Pre-employment drug testing required

FBI criminal background check required

Education/degree verification required

Must be a US citizen or have been a lawful resident of the US for the past ten consecutive years

Successfully passing a more stringent criminal background check due to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's CJIS Security Policy
