PC Specialist
The City of Pasco is seeking a PC Specialist to support its desktop computing environment. The role involves providing technical assistance and troubleshooting for computer hardware and software, ensuring that City staff have effective access to necessary tools.
Government Administration
Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance, troubleshooting, and maintenance for computer hardware, software, and related equipment
Serve as a first point of contact for technology support
Ensure City staff have reliable and effective access to the tools they need to serve the community
Work closely with City departments to install, configure, and maintain computers, peripherals, and multimedia equipment
Document solutions and maintain accurate inventory records
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Experience providing technical support for personal computers, peripherals, and standard business software
Working knowledge of Windows-based operating systems and common desktop applications
Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network connectivity issues
Valid Washington State driver's license, or ability to obtain one by date of hire
Preferred
Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience working in a help desk or IT support environment
Technical certifications such as A+, Network+, Microsoft, or equivalent
Experience supporting audiovisual or conferencing equipment
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
