The Ecosystem Development Lead will help grow the Redbud brand, support portfolio companies, and build a founder-first startup community across Missouri and the Heartland.

Responsibilities
Plan and execute small, high-signal founder events (dinners, workshops, roundtables)
Lead large‑scale events such as Missouri Startup Weekend and similar flagship programs
Own logistics, partnerships, promotion, and post‑event follow‑through
Build awareness for events, founders, and ecosystem initiatives
Own ecosystem marketing efforts across:
SEO and content
Social media
Graphics and visual storytelling
Engage founders directly and turn feedback into product and program improvements
Work closely with the Head of Engineering and Managing General Partner to help build a platform that:
Accelerates access to knowledge, capital, talent, and customers
Creates durable network effects for entrepreneurs in the Heartland
Act as a bridge between startups and established organizations
Build and manage corporate partnerships that support founders through:
Sponsorships
Pilot opportunities
Resources and distribution
Build and maintain a talent network aligned with early-stage startups
Connect founders with operators, engineers, designers, and future leaders
Qualification
Required
Must live in Missouri and be in‑person with the team
No formal years‑of‑experience or education requirement — non‑traditional paths are welcome
Self‑motivated, entrepreneurial, and willing to put in the work when it matters (including nights and weekends when needed)
Strong written and verbal communication skills; you're comfortable writing content, emails, and event materials that reflect well on the Redbud brand
High ownership mentality, consistent follow‑through, and the ability to manage multiple projects without letting details slip
