The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for managing all activities within manufacturing engineering and manufacturing support departments, focusing on process efficiency and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Manage manufacturing engineering and industrial engineering resources

Identify and implement cost savings

Support corporate safety initiatives

Implements and lead accurate BOM creation and routing structures

Leads the organization’s implementation of lean manufacturing principles

Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods using knowledge of product design, material and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly, methods and quality control standards

Create tooling, fixtures and jigs to support manufacturing throughput

Conducts studies to ascertain the best sequence of operations and work flow

Plans and implements material utilization ideas/processes

Support maintenance and facility requirements as needed

Assist in the arrangement of machines, assembly areas and/or racking within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout

Assist in the planning and implementation of layouts of moderately complex equipment, warehouse space, office areas and production facilities

Assist in capital project planning for equipment, process improvements and facilities

Other duties as assigned by the company

5+ years in manufacturing related field; supervisory experience required
