Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a skilled, compassionate Psychiatrist to join their Adult Intensive Services Medical Team. The role involves delivering comprehensive psychiatric care to adults with complex needs, including evaluations, medication management, and ongoing care, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Provide direct medical and psychiatric services through the comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning and treatment of patients assigned, on a regular basis as within the scope of State care
Assure clinicians in assigned services receive appropriate clinical supervision, as necessary
Work with multidisciplinary staff to evaluate and triage according to level of acuity, as needed
Share 24-hour on-call responsibilities with other psychiatrists for residential, outpatient and emergency care, as assigned
Maintain availability by telephone for face-to-face evaluation of emergency patients, as appropriate
Provide utilization review of all patients in continuing care to ensure appropriate medical/psychiatric services are received, as needed
Attend team and other meetings, as necessary
Provide consultation with other physicians and staff on patient care and difficult cases, as needed
Attend continuing medical education conferences to maintain excellent standards of care, on a regular basis
Understand and comply with organizational goals around quality, compliance, standards, and policies
Complete required education and training in a timely manner
Provide information to credentialing, payroll, etc. in a timely manner
Accurately and completely document patient care
Monitor and coordinate care for assigned clients in partnership with the other members of the client's care team

Required

Doctor of Medicine / Osteopathy
Successful completion of an accredited residency training program in psychiatry (DO/MDs only)
Colorado Medical License or Valid Prescriptive Authority in good standing: Per Colorado BHA regulations, you must hold an active Colorado MD or DO license before providing any client services. Out-of-state multi-state or compact licenses are not sufficient
Valid and Current DEA
Required Vaccination And TB Test: Proof of both the flu shot and negative TB test must be provided on your first day of employment
