Responsibilities

Conduct on-site visits to retail sales outlets across the U.S
Document product price ranges, return/exchange policies, trial-wear terms, and other customer service practices
Collect and digitally archive physical materials (e.g., price lists, brochures) via photography or scanning
Recruit target users through online communities (e.g., Facebook Groups, Reddit subreddits)
Manage end-to-end trial logistics: product distribution, usage guidance, feedback collection, and oversight of trial task cards & user diaries
Maintain regular communication with participants; synthesize contextual insights and feature improvement suggestions
Systematically compile and structure offline field data using standardized templates
Ensure timely archival and version control
Deliver weekly progress reports highlighting key findings, emerging risks, and actionable recommendations
Respond promptly to ad-hoc requests—e.g., expanding sample sizes or supplementing missing survey data
Support auxiliary research activities, including competitive product observation and e-commerce channel mapping
Serve as the local U.S.-based execution point of contact—accurately and efficiently implementing field protocols, discussion guides, and research scripts

Required

Legal authorization to work in the U.S
Flexibility to schedule and conduct frequent in-person visits
Excellent English communication skills—capable of professional, confident interactions with both retail staff and users

Access to personal transportation is highly preferred (to support high-frequency mobility across diverse locations)

Preferred

Prior experience in market research, user interviews, or bilingual (English–Chinese) translation
Hands-on familiarity with data documentation, survey administration, or qualitative fieldwork
