Quality NDT - Weld Inspector (Based in Poland)

The Lead NDT inspector performs advanced non-destructive testing inspections while providing leadership and direction to NDT team members, ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards through hands-on inspection and mentorship.

Responsibilities
Perform complex NDT inspections using methods such as MT, PT, UT, RT, and/or VT in accordance with established procedures and applicable codes
Lead and mentor Level I and II NDT personnel, providing technical guidance, training, and support
Act as a point of contact for floor-level NDT-related decisions, coordinating with production and quality teams to ensure timely inspections
Interpret and evaluate results of inspections and generate clear, accurate reports and documentation
Ensure all inspections comply with customer, industry, and internal standards (e.g., ASIVIE, ASTM, AWS, ISO)
Assist with the development, review, and revision of NDT procedures and techniques
Monitor equipment condition and calibration status; initiate corrective action or maintenance as needed
Support audits and customer visits by providing technical expertise and documentation as required
Promote and enforce safety, quality, and continuous improvement practices throughout the NDT area
Qualification
Required
Candidates must meet U.S. person requirements (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or other protected individual)
Perform complex NDT inspections using methods such as MT, PT, UT, RT, and/or VT in accordance with established procedures and applicable codes
Lead and mentor Level I and II NDT personnel, providing technical guidance, training, and support
Act as a point of contact for floor-level NDT-related decisions, coordinating with production and quality teams to ensure timely inspections

Ensure all inspections comply with customer, industry, and internal standards (e.g., ASIVIE, ASTM, AWS, ISO)

Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and technical procedures
Familiar with applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, AWS)
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and lead a team in a fast-paced manufacturing or maintenance environment
High School Diploma or equivalent
Certification: Level II or Level III in one or more NDT methods (ASNT, NAS 410, ISO 9712, or equivalent)
At least 7 years of hands-on NDT inspection experience, with proven leadership or team coordination responsibilities
Must undergo and meet company Standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks and controlled substance testing
Preferred
Previous experience in a working leader, team lead, or supervisory role within an NDT or quality team
Cross-certification in multiple NDT methods
Working knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.)
Familiarity with digital reporting systems or NDT data management tools
