Estimator III
The Middlesex Corporation is a nationally recognized leader in the heavy civil construction industry. The Estimator is responsible for the accurate takeoff and pricing of work for heavy/civil/roadway/marine projects, managing a team of estimators and coordinating with subcontractors and vendors.

Responsibilities
Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures and report all accidents, incidents and near misses to ensure we adhere to our Number One Core Value – Safety, first in everything we do
Work as integral part of our Estimating team to perform plan and specification analysis, takeoff and pricing of road, bridge, marine and other heavy/civil projects with values from $5 million to $400 million
Work with subcontractors and vendors to define scope, and perform subcontractor and vendor analysis
Assist with all Estimating functions for Lump Sum, Design/Build and Unit Price projects
Assist with the budgeting, purchasing and cost functions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or construction-related field
Minimum of 2 years of field construction experience
Minimum of 3 years as a full-time Road/Bridge/Marine estimator
Excellent computer skills and Heavy bid estimating software knowledge
Experience with computerized takeoff and/or design programs
