Responsibilities

Lead and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process

Review and approve journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations

Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP

Maintain and improve close schedules, documentation, and accounting policies

Prepare and review supporting schedules for management reporting

Oversee general ledger activity and ensure proper classification of transactions

Manage and support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

Monitor cash activity and work closely with leadership on cash flow visibility

Ensure consistent application of accounting policies across the organization

Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff; provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback

Serve as a key accounting partner to operations, FP&A, and business stakeholders

Act as a go-to resource for accounting guidance and issue resolution

Assist with onboarding, training, and scaling the accounting team as the company grows

Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance controls

Lead or support system implementations, upgrades, and ERP optimization

Improve reporting, automation, and documentation to support a scalable accounting function

Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal control standards

Serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors

Prepare audit schedules and respond to audit requests

Support internal control documentation and continuous improvement efforts
