Vetronics Engineer (Based in Poland)
American Rheinmetall is a leader in the design, development, and production of advanced tracked and wheeled vehicles. The Vetronics Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of complex military combat vehicle electronic and power distribution systems.

Responsibilities
Lead or support the electrical design and integration of power distribution systems, motor drives, and control electronics for BFVs
Develop and integrate advanced electro-optical sights, thermal sensors, and targeting systems
Design, integrate, and troubleshoot military-grade communication systems, including SINCGARS, JTRS, or similar
Interface with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical subsystems
Develop and review Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and electrical schematics
Support integration of subsystems onto BFV platforms and perform system-level testing
Support lab and field testing of electrical and electronic components
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical/electronic hardware issues using standard tools and methodologies
Conduct Environmental and EMI/EMC compliance testing
Generate and maintain design documentation, test procedures, and technical reports
Ensure compliance with MIL-STD, SAE, and applicable DoD requirements
Work closely with cross-functional teams including software, mechanical, and systems engineering
Participate in technical reviews and briefings with internal stakeholders and customers
Qualification
Required
Candidates must meet U.S. person requirements (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or other protected individual)
In-depth knowledge of BFV electrical architecture and subsystems
In-depth knowledge of power electronics, including DC-DC converters, power supplies, and vehicle electrical power distribution
In-depth knowledge of sensor and sighting systems, including thermal imagers, laser rangefinders, and day/night optics
In-depth knowledge of military communication systems, including encryption, radio integration, and networking
Experience with MIL-STD-1275, MIL-STD-461, and similar standards
Proficient in tools like OrCAD, Altium, or similar for schematic capture and PCB layout
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams
Active or eligible for U.S. DoD Secret Clearance
BSc Engineering (e.g. Electrical, Systems, Aerospace, Automotive)
Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks, physical, and controlled substance testing
Preferred
Experience with Bradley Fighting Vehicle programs or other armored platforms (e.g., Abrams, Stryker)
Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Familiarity with CAN bus, 1553 bus, and Ethernet-based vehicle networks
Experience in prototyping, environmental testing, and ruggedization of electronic systems
