Business Process Analyst
Salt River Project (SRP) is one of the largest public power and water utilities in the U.S., providing electricity to approximately one million customers in the greater metropolitan Phoenix area. The Business Process Analyst serves as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT, and project teams, capturing and analyzing process information to recommend improvements that enhance business value.

Responsibilities
Form and effectively lead cross-functional teams across multiple business areas
Coordinate, facilitate, document, and communicate with business clients to understand their goals, opportunities, strategies, processes, and requirements
Work directly with business clients to document complex business processes comprehensively
Provide guidance to business clients in defining and understanding business direction and processes within their organization
Based on analysis, propose solutions (including process re-engineering) that optimize efficiency, effectiveness, and overall value delivery. Ensure that proposed solutions align with the organization’s objectives
Drive business benefit realization through recommendations or improvements that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology
Maintain and share business process knowledge by embracing methods, standards, and best practices
Support the collection and analysis of metrics to continually improve processes
Execute basic change management to ensure successful adoption of process improvements and changes
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree relevant to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred
For a Level 1 (Associate), a minimum of no previous years of experience to two years related experience is required (if no degree, four-six years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling four-six years)
For a Level 2 (Journey), a minimum of two years of experience to four years related experience is required (if no degree, six-eight years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling six-eight years)
For a Level 3 (Senior), a minimum of five years of related experience is required (if no degree, nine years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling nine years)
Ability to work independently
Fundamental knowledge of project management, including the ability to plan, organize, and execute technical projects
Strong communication and technical writing skills
Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex processes into actionable recommendations
Proficient in conducting interviews and in group facilitation of business process modeling sessions
Strong interpersonal skills and business acumen for collaborating with team members and interacting with various stakeholders, including business units, IT teams, and leadership
Ability to compile, manipulate, and analyze data to develop meaningful insights and visualizations
All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred
Familiarity with process modeling tools (e.g. ProVision, Signavio) is preferred
Understanding of process management frameworks and best practices (i.e. APQC, SDLC, and BPM)
Experience in descriptive and inferential statistical analysis, including probability distributions, control charts, and hypothesis testing
Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) and non-relational databases (e.g., key-value stores, document stores, wide column stores)
