Growth & Strategy Leader – Data Center Segment

The Growth & Strategy Leader is responsible for driving profitable growth of the Data Center segment, focusing on strategic market development, customer engagement, and commercial leadership to build long-term growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

Drive integrated Data Center segment planning by co-developing and implementing growth strategies aligned with ESY and enterprise objectives
Identify and develop new customers (developers, EPCs, consultants, suppliers) to a maturity level that enables ownership by Business Lines
Identify adjacent market opportunities and support entry strategies to expand GE Vernova’s served available market
Track and analyse industry, market, and competitive trends to identify pockets of profit and emerging opportunities, including inorganic growth options
Establish and manage strong relationships with senior decision-makers at hyperscalers, colocation providers, EPCs, and key partners
Actively engage with the broader Data Center ecosystem to understand customer business models and translate needs into value-added solutions
Drive and participate in customer programs, networking events, and industry forums to generate demand and strengthen GE Vernova’s market presence
Serve as a trusted partner to customers, aligning GE Vernova capabilities with their strategic priorities
Leverage ESY and Business Line capabilities to form and manage strategic partnerships and alliances, including co-creation initiatives
Coordinate and support multi-BL go-to-market initiatives, ensuring consistency, clarity, and optimized customer engagement
Work inclusively with Sales, Marketing, and other GE Vernova businesses to originate and convert a strong, high-quality opportunity pipeline
Participate in co-selling activities across GE Vernova where appropriate
Provide commercial leadership on key opportunities, including:
Strategy-to-win development
Customer positioning and differentiation
Value proposition definition
Proposal strategy and deal structuring
Pricing feedback and optimization
Support key projects and initiatives as requested by leadership to advance ESY and enterprise objectives

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related discipline
Deep understanding of how DC projects are developed, financed, and delivered
Proven track record within the Data Center segment, with direct exposure to its ecosystem
Significant business development or growth leadership experience, ideally within data centres or technology infrastructure
Robust understanding of Data Center operations, including power, cooling, and services
Demonstrated success in developing new customers and driving sustained growth
Ability to build and maintain relationships at executive and C-suite levels
Confident collaboration skills, capable of working effectively across matrixed, global organizations
Strategic, proactive, and self-directed mindset with the ability to translate strategy into execution
Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills
Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50%) – you will have a good mix of working on site and of travel
Fluency in English; additional key-market languages (Italian, French, German, Spanish, etc.) are a strong advantage

Preferred

Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Engineering
GE Vernova leadership program experience
Experience operating in global, multi-business environments
Background working across both commercial and technical stakeholders
