The California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation is seeking a Budget Analyst for a limited-term position at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi, CA. The role involves performing complex budget office functions, including tracking and analyzing the institutional budget, and providing consultation for budget inquiries.

Responsibilities

Tracking, reviewing and analyzing the institutional budget and costs associated with the workings of the institution

Provides consultation and is a resource for budget inquiries

Exercise a high degree of initiative and assist management in making determinations based on ever-changing policies, workload and deadlines

Coordinates all aspects of accounting, statistical data and analytical reporting of costs to ensure systems properly reflect costs associated with the appropriate division

Candidates new to CDCR or the Division of Juvenile Justice are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter
