Stony Brook University is a leading academic medical center seeking faculty candidates for the Division of Neurohospital Medicine. The role involves providing inpatient neurology coverage, supervising residents and APPs, and engaging in clinical, educational, or research programs.

Responsibilities
Week-day coverage of the general neurology inpatient and general consult service with limited teleneurology support
Favorable weekend and overnight call responsibility
Supervision of neurology residents, Advanced Practice Providers (APP's), and students
Outpatient clinical opportunities are also available
Candidates will also have the opportunity to develop innovative clinical, educational, or research programs to suit their unique academic interests
Qualification
Required
MD degree (or foreign equivalent)
Eligibility for New York State licensure
Completion of an accredited Neurology residency program
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurology
Strong interest in hospital-based patient care and clinical teaching
Preferred
Experience or interest in both general as well as stroke neurology
Research interest is desirable
