Responsibilities

Identify and implement cost reductions, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvement ideas of limited scope
Update line layouts in CAD
Develop and support Factory Automation programs to control assembly fixtures
Develop and support vision systems
Work with electronic tools to perform engineering functions
Develop plans of limited scope to support lean manufacturing

Required

Understanding of various functions of manufacturing
Good interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Must be registered as a full-time student at an accredited university/college
Graduation date of Spring 2027 or later
Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
Available to work 12-20 hours/weekly during the academic year
Available to work 30-40 hours/weekly during the summer semester
Must be able to commute to the designated work location in Fargo, ND, on a weekly, daily, as-needed basis year-round (NOTE: Relocation assistance is not provided)
Pursuing a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Automation Engineering; others may apply

Preferred

Basic knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
An interest in working in the area of Manufacturing and Automation
Basic knowledge of databases
