Responsibilities

Being an integral part of the Traffic and Planning team
Working under the direction of senior traffic engineers
Preparing signing, pavement marking, signal lighting, temporary traffic control, and intelligent transportation system (ITS) plans
Conducting field work to collect data such as traffic counts, inventories, or field measurements

Qualification

EIT certificationTraffic design experiencePennDOT standards knowledgeProjectWise proficiencySynchro proficiencyMicrosoft Office skillsMulti-tasking abilityTeam participation attitude

Required

EIT, or ability to obtain within 6 months, required. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title 'Traffic Designer' and will be expected to obtain for career progression
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred

Master's degree preferred
Working knowledge of PennDOT and PTC standards, specifications, and plan preparation
Computer skills using Microsoft office, ProjectWise, HSC, and Synchro
Ability to prioritize and multi-task while working on several projects at once
Experience related to traffic planning and design
Preference given to local candidates
