Commercial Construction Lead Superintendent - Austin

Responsibilities
Maintain weekly project scheduling updates
Conduct weekly onsite toolbox meetings for safety enforcement
Utilize Procore to complete daily reports and monitor project conversations
Coordinate inspections and generate punch lists
Verify subcontractor change orders and validate labor/material projections
Communicate clearly and assertively with Owners, Architects, and other consultants
Problem-solve proactively to embrace challenges until solutions are developed
Maintain ethical business practices in daily actions
Interpret blueprints and coordinate between architectural, structural, and MEP designs
Contact and schedule subcontractors to motivate job-related suppliers
Organize and conduct weekly onsite subcontractor meetings to discuss safety practices and quality control
Respond in a timely manner to office staff communications and requests
Qualification
Required
Must be experienced in vertical ground-up & remodel experience working for a commercial general contractor
ATTENTION TO DETAIL!
Project Scheduling – maintain weekly updates
OSHA Trained/Certified – 30 Hour (preferred)
Safety enforcement along with conducting weekly onsite toolbox meetings
Utilize Procore to complete daily reports, monitor conversations and take daily pictures
Coordinate inspections
Generate and complete punch lists
Subcontractor Change Order verification and validate labor/material projections
Clear and assertive communication in the field is critical and can include direct conversations with Owners and Architects (and other consultants)
Must be a problem solver with a proactive mentality
Maintain ethical business practices in every aspect of your daily actions
Experience in dealing with representatives of various city building & development departments
Ability to interpret blueprints and coordinate between architectural & structural & MEP designs
Contact and schedule subcontractors
Overall knowledge/understanding of horizontal and vertical construction
Dependable form of transportation
Available and willing to voluntarily work after hours
Organize and conduct weekly onsite subcontractor meetings to discuss safety practices, current events, schedule, quality control, etc
Work with office staff and respond in a timely manner, including but not limited to emails
Be available, punctual, and accountable for meetings, requests from staff, etc
Must have a valid Texas Driver's License (If out of state, you have 60 days to obtain a valid Texas Driver's License)
Absolutely no alcohol or drugs in the workplace
