Clinical Informatics Analyst II

Responsibilities
Supports the organization's mission. Implements information system applications consistent with the hospital's patient care philosophy
Provides guidance to clinical departments in identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining efficient, effective clinical information systems
Initiates, maintains and communicates action plans regarding system implementation and support to appropriate members of hospital staff
Collaborates with teams to develop policies and procedures pertaining to use of clinical information systems. Maintains knowledge of standards of accreditation agencies and incorporates same into clinical information systems design standards
Develops and participates in structured training courses for new system upgrades and collaborations with clinical users
Communicates complex concepts and issues effectively (written and oral) across all levels within the organization. Facilitates problem solving within and between departments
Maintains membership on, or consultation to, appropriate committees, work groups or task forces as needed to facilitate the ongoing process of the design, implementation and revision of automated and manual components of the clinical information system. Conducts meetings and presentations effectively and professionally

Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization
Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures
Maintains current Knowledge in present areas of responsibility to include any specialty certification requirements (i.e., self-education, attends ongoing educational programs)
Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time
Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills
Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
3 years' experience in Clinical Informatics
3 years' change management experience
3 years' experience with large-scale education roll out
3 years' Project Management experience in a healthcare setting
3 years' experience in implementing and/or upgrading a clinical application in a healthcare setting
3 years of Clinical Experience
RN - Registered Nurse- RT, PT/OT or Current Georgia Licensure in Healthcare related field
Clinical Informaticist Certification
Preferred
