Responsibilities

Test a wide array of materials for compliance with drawings, specifications, and program applications
Work in a “wet lab,” observing all safety procedures and common lab protocols
Write scientific reports using generated data to support technical dispositions

Required

Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
Course work or lab experience in Materials Engineering or Chemical Analysis
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Active and existing security clearance required on day 1

Preferred

Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry majors
Experience reading and interpreting technical specifications
An understanding of material testing/analysis such as hardness, adhesion tests, sample preparation procedures, and cross sectioning
Experience in performing and managing high volume, highly technical work
