Responsibilities
Perform timely and accurate general accounting and intercompany accounting activities, including but not limited to:
Prepare and submit manual journal entries, including monitoring and recording monthly accruals
Ensuring cash is properly applied in the Company’s financial systems in accordance with established policies and processes
Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
Perform intercompany confirmations and resolve intercompany differences
Maintain cash tracking logs and supporting documentation
Performs complex analysis such as accounts receivable adjustments, accounts receivable bad debt reserve, and other ad-hoc analysis
Lead period-end close activities for assigned general ledger areas and intercompany affiliates
Proficient in working within the Company’s Order-to-Cash financial systems, including Oracle, JD Edwards, and DENSO developed tools
Serve as a liaison with cross‑functional teams and multiple locations to resolve accounting issues and inquiries while supporting strong internal controls
Perform other ad-hoc duties, as assigned
Qualification
Required
5+ years of relevant accounting experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills to discuss or transmit primarily factual information to internal and external customers in the normal course of performing duties
Strong analytical skills to investigate, interpret, and reconcile information from several distinct sources in situations where conclusions or resolutions are discernible
Customer service skills to display a service-oriented attitude in addressing and responding to questions or issues
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Advanced knowledge of accounting principles under IFRS and U.S. GAAP
Advanced knowledge of financial systems and software (Oracle EPM experience a plus)
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated commitment to teamwork
Demonstrated ability to adapt to and effectively manage change
Kaizen mindset with the ability to apply the PDCA (Plan‑Do‑Check‑Act) approach
Must also possess an understanding of current accounting operational structure (financial close, gross profit, J-SOX, etc.)
Preferred
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Preferred
Experience working in Automotive or Manufacturing industries preferred
Experience working at a public accounting firm in an assurance or similar line of practice
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/Accounting systems (Oracle experience is a plus)
