Responsibilities
Own overall system architecture (mobile, backend services, messaging, data stores):
Mobile application (Ionic + Capacitor / Cordova)
Backend services
Messaging and event processing
Data persistence
Lead design decisions for:
Event-driven architectures (kiosk → backend → mobile)
Push notifications and real-time updates
Authentication and authorization flows (SSO, tokens)
Set development standards and code quality expectations
Qualification
Required
Mobile Architecture & Angular Expertise: Lead the architecture and development of an Angular application wrapped with Ionic/Capacitor, including state management, modular design, AWS cloud and iOS-specific integrations
Hands-On Leadership & Delivery: Act as a player/coach, setting coding standards, performing code reviews, mentoring developers, and owning CI/CD, iOS builds, signing, and harness pipeline
Mobile Performance & Quality: Drive best practices for iOS performance, security, offline support, and UX quality to deliver a stable, production-ready mobile app
Own overall system architecture (mobile, backend services, messaging, data stores): Mobile application (Ionic + Capacitor / Cordova), Backend services, Messaging and event processing, Data persistence
Lead design decisions for: Event-driven architectures (kiosk → backend → mobile), Push notifications and real-time updates, Authentication and authorization flows (SSO, tokens)
Set development standards and code quality expectations
Mastery of modern web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and JS frameworks (jQuery, ember.js, angular.js, Foundation, Bootstrap), JSON, Adobe Photoshop and other graphic editing tools
Responsive web design, fluid layouts and positioning, including Mobile Interfaces Browser behavior and compatibility, cross-browser issues and solutions, and testing
Knowledge of SEO concepts and coding for Search Engine Optimization
Knowledge of/coding REST APIs, AJAX, XML (XSD, XSL, XPATH), and Template Engines and MVC Frameworks
Creating CSS3 Animations
Advanced skills in object oriented coding and scripting in languages such as Java, .net/C#, php, ruby
Skills in relational database modeling and creating advanced SQL queries/procedures
Ability to create in-house JavaScript libraries of reusable components
Ability to setup, configure, and host websites with IIS and Apache
Ability to travel to off-site locations
