Agency Owner
Farmers Insurance is seeking an Agency Owner who will operate, manage, and grow an independent Farmers Insurance agency. This role requires a blend of entrepreneurship, sales leadership, and customer service excellence to deliver personalized insurance solutions while building a profitable agency.
Responsibilities
Own and operate a Farmers Insurance agency in compliance with Farmers standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
Develop and execute a strategic business plan to drive growth, profitability, and retention
Manage agency finances, budgeting, forecasting, and performance metrics
Oversee day-to-day agency operations, systems, and processes
Market and sell Farmers Insurance products, including auto, home, life, business, and specialty lines
Identify new business opportunities through networking, referrals, marketing campaigns, and community involvement
Meet or exceed sales, growth, and retention goals
Cross-sell and upsell products to meet customers’ evolving needs
Recruit, hire, train, and manage licensed agency staff
Coach team members on sales techniques, customer service, and compliance
Foster a positive, high-performance, customer-focused culture
Set performance expectations and conduct regular evaluations
Build long-term relationships with clients by providing personalized advice and service
Ensure exceptional customer experience throughout the policy lifecycle
Handle escalated customer concerns and ensure timely resolution
Maintain high retention and customer satisfaction levels
Develop and execute local marketing strategies, digital presence, and branding initiatives
Represent Farmers Insurance in the community through events, sponsorships, and partnerships
Build strong referral relationships with local businesses and organizations
Ensure compliance with all insurance laws, regulations, and Farmers guidelines
Maintain required licenses, certifications, and continuing education
Protect agency and customer data through proper risk management practices
Qualification
Required
Entrepreneurial mindset with strong business acumen
Sales-driven with a passion for customer service
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain required insurance licenses
Preferred
Previous experience in insurance, sales, management, or business ownership
College degree in business, finance, marketing, or related field
Experience leading teams and managing budgets
