Responsibilities

Support the development and certification of safety-critical control and monitoring systems

Capture and maintain evidence related to system requirements, validation activities, design constraints, safety, security, and quality attributes

Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure certification plans, configuration management practices, and work product standards are clearly understood and consistently applied

Establish reporting and data generation methods to collect life-cycle evidence and present it to airworthiness authorities

Continuous improvement of certification work products, incorporating feedback from internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies

Coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines to understand and manage relationships between different types of system and certification data

Required

Experience in airborne or safety-critical system development and certification

Strong knowledge of control systems such as engine, gas turbine, HVAC, brake, or embedded electronic control systems

Proficiency with requirements management, system design, and analysis tools

Experience with model-based systems engineering tools such as Cameo

Ability to interpret certification evidence, assess completeness and correctness, and raise concerns related to safety, risk, or compliance
