Responsibilities

Conduct accessibility testing on web and mobile applications using manual and automated tools

Review and interpret accessibility requirements based on WCAG, ADA, and Section 508 standards

Document and report accessibility issues, providing clear recommendations for remediation

Collaborate with designers, developers, and QA teams to ensure accessibility is integrated throughout the development lifecycle

Stay current with accessibility best practices, tools, and technologies

Participate in accessibility audits and provide feedback to improve processes

Assist in creating and maintaining accessibility documentation and guidelines

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Experience in accessibility testing for web and/or mobile applications

Functional and manual testing experience is required

Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG, ADA, Section 508) and knowledge of assistive technologies such as screen readers and magnifiers

Experience using accessibility testing tools like Axe, JAWS, NVDA, or WAVE

Preferred

Accessibility certification (e.g., IAAP CPACC, WAS, or similar)

Experience conducting usability studies with people with disabilities

Knowledge of mobile accessibility guidelines for Android and iOS

Experience training or mentoring teams on accessibility best practices

Understanding of inclusive design principles

Prior experience working in Agile environments

Knowledge of functional and automation testing is a plus
