Responsibilities

Create novel algorithms to automatically generate parts and flexures that both match performance requirements and meet design constraints
Develop novel (or utilize existing) software simulations to analyze and evaluate the performance of your designs
Propose hardware prototyping efforts to validate your designs
Work with other researchers and engineers, inside and outside the ASG

Required

Working towards a PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a target graduation year of either 2026 or 2027
Successful completion of the following classes or their equivalents: Mechanics of Materials, Mechanical Design, Optimization
Experience in the following fields: Design of flexures, Generative mechanical design, Manufacturing processes
Strong publication record in top conferences and/or journals
