They are seeking an Automation Technician Intern to gain hands-on experience in Automation Technology within a manufacturing environment, assisting qualified electricians and participating in meaningful work over a 12-week internship period.

Responsibilities

Shadow and assist qualified electricians performing the following:

Uses Siemens S7-1500F series of PLC for troubleshooting process and equipment related problems through TIA portal

Get acquitted to the utilization of iBA data acquisition system

Get to know aluminum process associated with scalper, Pusher Furnaces and rolling mills

Use specialized measuring and diagnostic devices to evaluate equipment

Install, maintain and repair electrical, electromechanical, and electronic parts of machinery and equipment

Perform repair and preservation of field, plant and shop for electronic and electrical systems, equipment, and devices

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams

Plan and prepare work orders or instructions utilizing blueprints, sketches, and drawings

Receive training in electrical safety and other electrical/maintenance duties
