Responsibilities
Represent the same sponsors on multiple deals
Build origination credit faster
Handle their leveraged buyouts, refinancings, and liability management deals
Run your own deals from start to finish:
Manage workstreams and timelines
Lead negotiations with lender counsel
Control execution from commitment through closing
Handle multiple deal types:
Leveraged buyout financings and syndicated loans
Unitranche, direct lending, high yield bonds
Refinancings, repricings, liability management
Cross-border transactions
Collaborate with private equity and M&A lawyers:
See deals from both finance and transaction angles
Access more sophisticated work
Create partnership opportunities across practices
Qualification
Required
2-7 years borrower-side experience
Strong exposure to sponsor-led deals
Ability to run workstreams independently
Ability to draft and negotiate credit agreements, intercreditor agreements, guarantees, security documents
Experience at a leading US law firm
Strong academics
New York bar admission or immediate eligibility
