Senior LevelSoCode US is a global communications technology provider delivering carrier-grade 5G Standalone solutions. They are seeking a Senior 5G Systems / Network Engineer to focus on ORAN and vRAN architectures, performing integration, testing, and troubleshooting for real-world 5G deployments.

Responsibilities
Integrating and validating 5G SA network components for Fixed Wireless and private or public 5G deployments
Supporting ORAN and vRAN environments including vCU, vDU, RU, and associated transport connectivity
Running end-to-end 5G call processing, feature validation, and performance testing
Troubleshooting RAN and transport issues and driving root cause analysis using logs and PCAPs
Working with Kubernetes and cloud-native platforms to deploy and manage network functions
Executing and validating MOPs for upgrades, integrations, and network changes
Collaborating with engineering, product, and customer teams during trials and deployments
Qualification
Required
Strong hands-on experience with 5G Standalone networks
Solid understanding of 5G RAN architecture and interfaces such as NG, Xn, F1, E1, N1 and N2
Experience working with ORAN and vRAN architectures
Good understanding of IP and Ethernet transport concepts supporting 5G networks
Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and virtualised network functions
Confident troubleshooting using Wireshark, PCAPs, and vendor-specific logs
Background supporting carrier-grade or large-scale private 5G networks
Strong Linux fundamentals
Preferred
Fixed Wireless Access or wireless backhaul experience
Experience supporting Tier-1 or Tier-2 operators
Familiarity with 5G timing and synchronisation concepts such as PTP and SyncE
Automation or scripting experience using Python, Shell, or Ansible
