Accountant / Bookkeeper
AngelouEconomics is a leader in corporate site location consulting, and they are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-Time Accounting/Bookkeeping Specialist to support their financial operations. The role involves expense tracking, invoicing, tax preparation support, and generating financial reports, with a flexible schedule that includes both remote work and in-office presence.

Responsibilities
Accurately record and categorize all business expenses, including those billable to clients
Maintain comprehensive records for all company credit cards and other expenditures
Prepare and send invoices to clients in a timely manner
Manage follow-ups to ensure prompt payment from clients
Maintain financial records in a format that can be easily transferred to our CPA (Sweeten CPA) for federal tax filings
Handle payments for property taxes and state franchise taxes directly
Generate monthly or ad hoc financial reports to support internal operations and tax preparation
Prepare and maintain documentation needed for year-end tax filings
Qualification
Required
Proven expertise with QuickBooks (desktop and/or online) is required
Familiarity with sales tax (i.e., experience working in a non-software accounting capacity) is required
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
Strong communication skills for interacting with internal team members and clients
Preferred
Prior experience with small business bookkeeping or accounting is strongly preferred
Familiarity with Texas state tax filings (property taxes and state franchise taxes) is a plus
