Mechanical Engineering Sales Representative (Construction Industry)
STL is a local mechanical/industrial engineering business located in St. Louis County, seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative. The role involves engaging with potential customers, providing product demonstrations, and driving sales growth through effective relationship management.

Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking and lead generation
Conduct product demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of our offerings
Prepare detailed proposals with pricing, full scope of work, and contract terms
Negotiate sales contracts and pricing to secure sales
Use problem solving skills to assess client situations and needs so you can provide effective mechanical/industrial solutions
90% travel/ 10% office work
Work in company ERP system for record of sales information
Collaborate with the technical team to ensure customer requirements are met
Manage the entire sales process from initial contact to closing deals
Provide pre-sales support by analyzing customer needs and presenting tailored solutions
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business
Qualification
Required
Mechanical/technical Industrial construction knowledge is required
Strong background in technical sales
Ability to understand and communicate complex solutions to clients

Preferred
Engineering or Business Degree
3-5 years' experience in Mechanical/Industrial industry
Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities
Thoroughness and reliability
Excellent organizational skills
Excel/Word/Outlook knowledge
Bachelor's
Mechanical knowledge: 5 years
Industrial engineering: 5 years
Construction sales: 6 years
Willingness to travel: 50%
