Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the entire mortgage loan lifecycle, including origination, underwriting, processing, and servicing
Ensure compliance with FNMA standards, Fair Housing laws, TILA regulations, and other federal and state mortgage laws
Supervise loan officers and processing teams to maintain high-quality standards and timely completion of loan files
Conduct credit analysis and review documentation to assess borrower eligibility and risk
Develop and implement policies for loan origination, underwriting, escrow management, and contract adherence
Monitor loan pipeline progress and resolve any issues related to documentation or compliance
Coordinate with underwriters to approve or deny loans based on creditworthiness and regulatory guidelines
Maintain knowledge of banking practices related to mortgage products, escrow accounts, and loan contracts
Provide training on mortgage servicing procedures, fair housing regulations, and industry best practices
Prepare reports on operational performance metrics and recommend process improvements for efficiency gains
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in mortgage lending operations with a strong background in FNMA guidelines, underwriting, loan origination, and servicing
Prior experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar financial services role is highly desirable
Deep understanding of Fair Housing regulations, TILA compliance, escrow procedures, and loan processing workflows
Strong knowledge of credit analysis techniques and basic math skills including 10-key typing for data entry accuracy
Familiarity with contracts related to mortgage lending and banking operations
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines
Effective leadership skills with experience supervising teams within a fast-paced environment
Ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders
