Senior Manager - M&A Integration & Separation
The Consultancy Group is a rapidly growing, Private Equity–backed professional services organization seeking a high-performing Manager/Senior Manager M&A Integration & Separation Consultant. This leadership role involves partnering with corporate development teams and executive leadership to execute transaction value creation, focusing on integration and separation plans, and ensuring operational stability.

Responsibilities
Support pre‑deal activities including operational due diligence, synergy assessments, and Day 1 readiness planning
Develop and refine Integration Management Office (IMO) and/or Separation Management Office (SMO) frameworks
Identify operational risks, interdependencies, and required mitigations across functions (Finance, HR, IT, Operations, Legal, Commercial, etc.)
Lead functional and cross‑functional workstreams during integration or carve‑out programmes
Build detailed project plans, cutover plans, TSA schedules, and synergy realisation trackers
Manage milestone execution and ensure alignment with deal thesis and PE expectations
Drive the delivery of post‑merger integration (PMI) initiatives, including organisational alignment, process harmonisation, and systems migration
Act as the key link between PE stakeholders, executive teams, and operational leaders
Prepare and deliver clear communication materials, programme updates, and executive dashboards
Facilitate cross-functional workshops, decision forums, and issue‑resolution sessions
Support the development of future‑state operating models for integrated businesses or divested entities
Track synergy capture, operational performance, and cost‑to-achieve metrics
Identify and propose opportunities for process improvement and scalability across the portfolio
Qualification
Required
4–7 years' experience in M&A integration, separation, or operational due diligence, ideally within professional services
Strong knowledge of corporate functions (Finance, HR, IT, Operations) and how they interlock during M&A transactions
Proven ability to lead or coordinate workstreams in complex cross-functional projects
Exceptional communication skills, able to interact credibly with senior leadership and PE sponsors
Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, with a bias for action
Proficiency with project management tools and frameworks
Experience with synergy planning and operational readiness assessments
