They are seeking a Metallurgical Engineer to lead metallurgical process control and drive process improvements while collaborating with various teams to resolve technical issues.

Responsibilities
Lead metallurgical process control for gray and ductile iron production
Supervise and technically guide metal and sand lab technicians
Perform and interpret metallography, image analysis, spectroscopy, thermal analysis, and combustion IR testing
Oversee tensile, yield, elongation, hardness, and failure analysis
Apply SPC, gage R&R, and variation reduction methodologies
Drive process improvement, material evaluation, and equipment qualification projects
Partner with Production, Quality, and Maintenance to resolve complex technical issues
Participate in industry training and professional organizations (AFS, etc.)
Qualification
Required
Degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (with materials focus)
Preferred
Experience with ferrous metallurgy, microstructure interpretation, and foundry processes strongly preferred
Candidates with strong analytical and plant-floor problem-solving skills are encouraged to apply
